Svāmī Samantabhadra (c. second century CE) was a Digambara ascetic who is mostly addressed as svāmī by his successors as they did not have the courage to call him by his name. He once suffered a deadly disease called bhasmaka-vyādhi in which his hunger could not be quenched by eating a normal quantity of food.
