Recipe Title : Bottle Gourd and Pumpkin Halwa

I was looking for delicious ways to incorporate sweet Bottle Gourd into my diet, and I stumbled upon a new favourite! No matter the season, you’ll always find this Bottle Gourd and Pumpkin Halwa in my home during every special celebration. Packed with vitamins, fibre, and antioxidants, this delightful treat not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also boosts your health.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup bottle gourd grated.
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin grated.
  • 8 figs chopped.
  • 10 raisins.
  • 8 apricots chopped.
  • 3/4 cup date paste.
  • 2 tbsp cashew butter.
  • 2 tbsp roasted gond (edible gum).
  • A pinch of saffron.
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder.

Method:

  • Water (as needed).
  • Squeeze out the water from the bottle gourd.
  • Take a pan, and add the grated bottle gourd, pumpkin, and water.
  • Add chopped fig and apricot.
  • Cook it for a while.
  • Add cashew butter and cook it.
  • Add saffron and cardamom powder.
  • Garnish with gond (edible gum).
  • Serve hot or cold.
